About

No culinary degrees or dress codes required. Just throw on some comfy clothes, grab a drink, and let’s cook something delicious.

The cook behind His Night To Cook

What’s in each recipe

Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.

Mostly dinners, sides, appetizers, and snacks, with room for breakfast and dessert when the mood hits. Same friendly format whether the dish is “I can do this” easy or “okay, I’m feeling fancy.”

  • Photo + my take

A picture of the dish and a short note from my kitchen: what worked, what I’d do again, and the little things that kept dinner from going sideways.

  • Cook + family ratings

Right up top: chef hats for how the cook went (Piece of Cake → Chef Mode) and smileys for the family vote (Pass → Seconds, please). A heart means it’s a regular at our table, not just a one-night wonder.

  • Optional cook’s notes

Substitutes, shortcuts, and “trust me on this” tips when they help. Skipped when they don’t. Your night stays simple.

What should I cook next?

Craving something specific, need a weeknight win, or missing a holiday side from home? Tell me. I read every note, and the best ideas land in the recipe list.

I read every note. If I cook it, you’ll see it show up in the recipes.
